I came upon people with highest degrees of mathematics which couldn't implement a simple piece of code mapping business layer down to a numerical engine (it was a spaghetti monster). I did job in half their time but didnt have a PhD. I understood necessary mathematics and coded it neatly. Process: Understand, empathize, design, implement, test. Sorry to praise myself here but have bad memories about that team.
