In Switzerland my communte looks like this: I walk 5 minutes to the train station, I wait exactly 5 minutes (the train arrives 99% at the right time), the train arrives and I get a seat. The train is 50% full so I always find a seat. Within 15 seconds after opening my laptop lid, I get WLAN as I use a pocket WiFi router in my backpack. I work 60 minutes until the train arrives, I walk another 5 minutes and Im at the office. Every minute I used either for walk/break (remember the "10'000 steps a day") or work. At most 2 x 5 minutes wasted for waiting for the train to arrive.
