Scientists should not exagerate results. Scientists should also stay objective and factual. Sorry to say but this article reads more like an attack of jealousy.

Lee Cronin was magnitudes too optimistic in the past and also may have exagerated - intentionally or not - results. Moreover, the AT paper could have been written a little more cautiously.

However, theres nothing wrong that I can see in the paper. It doesnt claim it solved evolution, it just mentioned there was "issues" with understanding evolution. It doesnt claim its right, its simply science stating its method. Even if its nothing new at all, why so angry with him and team? Btw that minerals show a high index of life isnt that much surprising. Nobody claims minerals are life, it would be a strawman to claim that Lee and team do claim that.

The emphasis of a more abstract and general definition of life is probably the right direction to solve the puzzle. For me, this is all what the AT paper from October 2023 does. Or what passage suggests its all solved and other work is wrong? We should approach the problem from "botton up" with more simple objects rather than jumping to the making of carbohydrates, amino acides or nucleotides.

In any case, just let you know it reads like attack of jealousy and that doesnt help to make it/you look professional.
