Too many companies and software projects are in disorder. Order and symmetry are key in software devolpment, operations and business processes. Striving for more order is always good assuming there is infinite money and time.
However, sometimes we need pragmatism when, for example, a business critical feature needs be implemented which is so critical that without it, the company would face bancruptcy. When you then have perfectionist gate keepers that cant see the other side, yes you have a problem. But this is more a problem of people you hire.
You have to hire people who are cooperative and are structured at the same time. Its rare but such people exist. (Problem is probably you cant equip your whole company with such people as you wouldnt find enough and maybe couldnt pay for their salaries.)
